What readers are saying

Stories that stay with families

My daughter asked me to read it again the same night. She wanted to talk about what it meant to know where you come from. I didn’t expect a children’s book to spark that conversation.

I ordered it for our Year 4 classroom library and every child wanted it first. The themes of identity and belonging opened up discussions that lasted the whole week.

The voice behind the stories

Walé Akíngbadé

These stories grew from a personal journey, a search for truth and wisdom woven into African folklore, and a desire to pass those golden threads on to the next generation. Each book explores a theme that shaped my own path: identity, resilience, patience and purpose.

I write them so that children can find themselves in the stories, and so that families can have more conversations that matter.
